Kite and Royal Museums Greenwich
We have teamed up with Royal Museums Greenwich to create an exciting new collection inspired by their fantastic and unique heritage sites.
Royal Museums Greenwich is a top-10 UK visitor attraction and is home to the Royal Observatory, the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum and the Queen’s House.
Our collaboration developed when we uncovered our shared passion for adventure and exploration, our common love of the sea and space, and our joint desire to protect the environment.
National Maritime Museum
At the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich you can discover epic stories of exploration and endeavour that have shaped our world today.
These include photographs and artefacts that tell the tale of Captain Robert Falcon Scott's famous but ill-fated Terra Nova expedition to the South Pole between 1910 and 1912.
Herbert Ponting was the official photographer on the expedition and his pictures have left us a vivid and visual record of the journey.
On his return home Ponting gave lectures and produced a film about the adventure, and also designed Ponko the penguin, a soft toy who became one of the first items of film related merchandise in the world.
You can find the original Ponko in the polar exhibition at the National Maritime Museum.
We love Ponko's story and think that he is just so cute that we couldn’t resist creating a penguin print for our collection.
You'll find a bodysuit, sleepsuit, vest, hat and t-shirt so you can kit out your own little adventurer in the cutest of outfits.
The Cutty Sark
The Cutty Sark, built in 1869, was the fastest ship of its time and was designed to carry tea from China to England as quickly as possible. On its first voyage, the Cutty Sark brought back over 500 tonnes of tea, which is equivalent to the weight of a modern-day airliner!
Now docked in Greenwich, it's a wonderful and award-winning attraction to visit and explore.
We wanted to celebrate the story of this amazing ship in all its glory, so our t-shirt playfully features the famous ship floating inside a teacup.
Made from 100% organic cotton, this lovely rouge pink t-shirt looks fab teamed with our cord shorts and rainbow tights.
The Royal Observatory
The Royal Observatory is the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the Prime Meridian of the world.
Its 'Onion Dome' houses one of the biggest telescopes in the world, still used today to help us observe the planets, stars and sun. Completed in 1893, it was originally made from papier-mâché!
Our design showcases the dramatic telescope and roof of the building, positioned among some other iconic London landmarks.
This t-shirt is a great option for all of those London lovers who enjoy learning new things.
The Queen's House
The Queen's House was built in the 1600s and is home to an impressive and internationally renowned art collection.
It has fabulous views across Greenwich Park, which hosts some of the most beautiful flora and fauna that London has to offer.
The gallery has some wonderful portraits of kings and queens so we thought it would be fun to create portraits of some royal-looking animals for our t-shirt! Can you spot their crowns?
