Plant a tree
National Tree Week is just around the corner and to celebrate we want to share our exciting collaboration with you.
We have teamed up with The Tree Council to support their mission to bring everyone together to care for trees and our planet’s future.
Our latest collection features tree-rific styles for children and women and, with every purchase, we'll donate money to the Tree Council to support their amazing work.
Why The Tree Council?
When looking for a partner, we wanted to find a passionate team which was dedicated to protecting our planet, just like us.
The Tree Council are single-mindedly devoted to planting, protecting and caring for trees and hedgerows.
In particular we were really impressed with their work with schools and local communities across the UK, engaging children to be a #ForceForNature.
Our design
Our team got to work creating a brand new print to embody our love of nature with trees taking centre stage.
Big and small, this print showcases a range of gorgeous greenery and was soon ready to be turned into beautiful garments.
Getting involved
Earlier this year, Milly and Paige from Kite HQ were lucky to attend a volunteer planting day run by The Tree Council in collaboration with Naturetrek in Hampshire.
Along with other like-minded companies, they planted a tree-mendous 900 hedgerow trees!
It was a demanding day but one they both thoroughly enjoyed.
One of The Tree Council's big iniaitives is The Queen's Green Canopy, a project which aims to plant 35,000 trees and 7 km of hedgerow before the end of 2022 to help combat climate change.
This wonderful initiative has now been extended to give people the opportunity to plant trees in memoriam to honour Her Majesty, who planted an amazing 1,500 trees in her lifetime. Wow!
Explore the styles
Now is a great time to get involved as National Tree Week, the UK's largest celebration of trees, is nearly here!
For every purchase of our 'plant a tree' styles we will donate 10% of the sale price towards the planting of trees in local communities across the UK, in partnership with The Tree Council, Registered Charity Number 279000.
Do good and feel good at the same time!
