Halloween fun
Halloween might be a little different this year so we're here to help make it spook-tacular for you and your little ghosts and ghouls.
We have put together a list of fun and planet-friendly activities to help you avoid the curse of disposable decorations, one-time outfits and mountains of wrappers. Instead we hope you can all enjoy a #GreenHalloween, packed full of spooky fun!
Pumpkin fun
If you're not able to go trick or treating this year make sure to still spook your neighbours by carving a pumpkin and leaving it on your doorstep. If you can, why not take a trip to a local pumpkin patch to pick your own?
Remember, don't waste the flesh, it makes a delicious pumpkin soup! This BBC Good Food recipe is a great one to try.
Terrifying treats
Everyone loves a spooky snack and making them is the perfect activity to do with your little monsters. Our chocolate-dipped apple slices are so simple yet so tasty. Use locally sourced ingredients where you can and decorate them with terrifying designs.
Making your own treats means less rubbish and less wrappers - just try not to eat them all at once!
Make a creepy costume
Making your own Halloween costume is a fun activity and a more sustainable option than buying one. If you're looking for some simple ideas this year then take a look at our easy guide to make a witch's broom and the perfect template for a pumpkin mask.
Collecting the twigs for the broomstick also makes for a great autumn outdoor activity.
Turn your home into a haunted house
Get crafty and spend some time making decorations that you can keep for years to come. You could try making egg carton bats, milk carton ghosts or pom-pom spiders - or why not all three?!
All you need to do is follow our scarily simple instructions and your house will have an eerie feel in no time.
Colouring sheets
Enjoy our colouring sheets which feature lots of fun designs from our spook-tacular Halloween activities.
We hope our activities help you to make this Halloween a spooky and sustainable one. If you give them a go or have any great ideas of your own then we'd love to hear. Send us a message or a photo via social media and don't forget to tag us @KiteClothing.
