Five little monkeys
Whether you have one little monkey or more, this fun song is great for practising counting and having a sing-song with the whole family.
Get counting
1, 2, 3, 4, 5!
Use this simple but fun activity to practise counting - how many butterflies can you see?
5 - 7 years
Here you'll find activities aimed at little ones aged 5 - 7 years, from our jungle match quiz to making a jungle snake (two ways!).
Jungle match quiz
Match together the jungle animal with its name. Can you find the right fun fact too? You'll find the answers on the second page (no cheating ;-))
Find out about Tapanuli orangutans
When we heard about this newly discovered ape, we were so excited that we made a T-shirt with them on! Find out all about them with this simple writing activity.
Jungle treasure hunt
M is for monkey, P is for parrot - what can you find around your home and garden for each of our jungle animal letters? Find your treasure items and either draw them in the spaces or place them on the page. No printer? Just collect the items, it's just as fun.
Make a jungle snake
We have not one, but two ways to make a jungle snake! Try our sssimple paper chain snake or get sssticky with homemade play dough. Both look fab and are easy to create with materials you have at home.
7 - 11 years
Below are activities aimed at little ones aged 7 - 11 years, from making a jungle scene to creating a poster all about the amazing Tapanuli orangutans.
Make a jungle scene
For the crafty among you this is a must-do activity! Use our guide to create your jungle scene or go freestyle and design something unique. Then add your homemade play dough snake and your cardboard orangutan to complete the scene.
Make your own orangutan
Make your own orangutan friends with these simple card creations. Use our templates or draw your own version if you don't have a printer.
Create a jungle fact file
Use our template to create your very own fact file about some special jungle species. Can you find all the facts you need? If you don't have a printer you can design your own cards. Then just punch holes and use some string or ribbon to make your own booklet.
Play jungle hide and seek
Hide something jungle related and see who can find it first! Or if you're feeling creative, make our fun jungle parrots. They're designed to be hidden (especially in the garden) so you can have fun finding them! Find out how to make them in our guide.
Create a poster
We think the Tapanuli orangutan is a pretty special little ape. Find out all about them and make a lovely poster to share with your friends and family. You can use our template as a guide or create your own poster.
We hope you've found lots of fun jungle ideas to get your little one swinging from the trees!
