Kite, the planet-friendly clothing brand for children from 0-11 years old, is proud to launch its Spring Summer 2014 collection. Celebrating the joys of camping and exploring, Kite’s SS14 designs draw on the beauty of their Dorset surroundings including the nearby sandy beaches, the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and the Purbeck Hills.

The new collection has a unique look inspired by nature and the outdoors. Whether relaxing in a beach hut at the local beauty spot of Hengistbury Head or exploring Poole Harbour by canoe, Kite encourages us all to get out and embrace a fresh and active lifestyle.

‘Camping heaven’ for girls uses fresh shades of blue, lime green and pink to create a mouth-watering combination of colours. The ‘picnic apples print’ looks good enough to eat on both Kite’s signature jersey dress and baby tunic, while the beautiful ‘hummingbird print’ looks simply stunning on their pretty summer styles. Chasing butterflies, munching scrumptious strawberries, or relaxing by a pretty caravan or beach hut? Kite’s original styles offer a wide range of mix and match combinations to suit every occasion.

‘Explorer adventures’ for boys uses a combination of brights and blues to create a strong, on-trend look, with bold stripes and quirky contrast details adding impact and interest. With a wealth of cool and clever imagery on tops and t-shirts, the exploring theme will let boys’ imaginations run wild: Will they be searching out Corfe Castle in their binoculars, canoeing around the islands in Poole Harbour, or travelling through the Purbecks by steam train?

Well known for its focus on innovation, Kite offers a number of new styles for SS14. For baby girls and baby boys sleeping bags are now available in 3 sizes up to 36 months with a rating of 1.0 tog, perfect for warmer summer months. For boys and girls, Kite is launching exciting new outerwear and nightwear styles. The new summer GO coat is a shower proof jacket that keeps children warm, dry and comfy, allowing them to get on and enjoy the great outdoors whatever the weather. For night-time, Kite has new super soft shortie pyjamas in vibrant yarn dyed checks.
